I admit, I didn’t know what to expect when I first stepped into the Manitoba Club this past Saturday after while in our meeting a week earlier, Kevin and Ashley described their wedding style as one that would be harking back to the Jazz age in the Roaring Twenties. It was an era often characterized by glamour and festivity. Very Gatsby-esque. The champagne definitely flowed on this day and the setting was incredible! That said, what I found even more impressive was the balance struck between elegance and intimacy throughout the day. Both the ceremony and then transformation to reception ballroom had layouts that bridged the elegant with the intimate in a way I have not seen done before. The couple’s vows were their own and honestly some of the best words I’ve ever heard spoken between two lovers. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. Not to be overlooked were the many personal and heartfelt speeches by family and friends later that evening. Sorry all, but I’m saving those for the highlights 😉
These types of events are of course not possible without the experience, creativity, talent, and diligence brought forth by the collaborative efforts of all vendors involved in making such an amazing event possible. Emma and her professional team at Events by Emma never fail to amaze me and definitely deserve a lot of credit for bringing this vision to life from concept to reality.
